11237: Deftones – neues Album “Koi No Yokan“ im Pre-Listening
Was "Koi No Yokan" bedeutet? Ist doch klar: es bedeutet, dass die Deftones ein neues Album fertig haben, welches am Freitag, den 09. November erscheint und das nunmehr siebte Studioalbum der Band aus Sacramento, Kalifornien ist. Hier und jetzt gibt es die Möglichkeit in das komplette Album vorab rein zu hören… Album Pre-Listening "Koi No Yokan"
Produziert wurde das neue Album von Nick Raskulinecz (u.a. Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters, Rush), der bereits für den bombastischen Breitwandsound des Vorgängers "Diamond Eyes" (2010) verantwortlich war.

11236: THE COLD VIEW - Debüt Album zum kostenlosen Download
Das Ein-Mann-Projekt THE COLD VIEW hat am 1. September diesen Jahres sein Drone/Funeral-Doom-Konzeptalbum "Weeping Winter" veröffentlicht. Hierfür ist in jedem Monat von November 2011 bis März 2012 ein Song entstanden. "Weeping Winter" wurde professionell produziert, Mixing und Mastering wurden im Berliner Tonstudio http://www.blockstudio.de durchgeführt.
Das Album und auch das Artwork sind ansonsten komplett in Eigenregie entstanden. Das Album ist der emotionale Ausdruck von persönlichen Erlebnissen und Naturerfahrungen während der Entstehungszeit, die fünf Songs erreichen eine Gesamtspielzeit von über 40 Minuten. Many people have a countdown until December 21, 2012. The time has come for a new countdown: January 12, 2013. Modern metal juggernauts MUTINY WITHIN have announced the official release date of their long awaited sophomore album, Synchronicity, for January 12, 2013.
MUTINY WITHIN made waves in the metal community early in their career by joining the Roadrunner Records roster and touring endlessly on the heels of their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album. Having half the lineup live across the great Atlantic pond and having serious financial difficulties due to the rampant piracy in the music industry, MUTINY WITHIN was forced to go on hiatus in 2011. That was the end of the touring band, but not the end of their music. Preeminent punk band Bad Religion will release their new album True North this January 18th on Epitaph Records. In a world still brimming with rampant anti-intellectualism, inequality and oppression, the band’s signature brand of sonically charged humanist dissent seems as relevant as ever. On their newest record, the storied band deliberately revisits and refines the powerful and melodic Southern California sound they helped to define.
“We went back to our original mission statement of short concise bursts of melody and thought,” co-songwriter and guitarist Brett Gurewitz explains.“The intent was to record stripped down punk songs without sacrificing any conceptual density.”
The album’s first single is a propulsive anthem succinctly called “F*ck You.” As the band’s singer and co-songwriter Greg Graffin explains, “If any band should have a song with that title it should be us. It just sounds like a perfect Bad Religion song.”

Produced by the band and Joe Barresi, True North celebrates the stirring power of cogent punk in the face of pain and adversity. The result is one of the band’s most emotionally accessible albums to date.
“I think working within certain restrictions took away the mental aspect and let us devote more attention to conveying feeling,” Graffin says. “We all go through pain and the best elements of punk give us hope in those dark times.”
While some tracks such as “Robin Hood In Reverse,” "Land of Endless Greed" and “Dharma And The Bomb” ardently address pressing world issues, others like “Hello Cruel World” veer into a far more expressive terrain. The album’s title song “True North” utilizes a wall of guitars and charged beat to explore issues of alienation and loss informed by Graffin’s recent life experiences.
“The song is written from the perspective of a kid who is running away,”Graffin explains. “He says ‘I’m out of here, I’m off to find true north.’ It’s about recognizing that you don’t fit in and trying to find a truth and purpose. Those are all classic punk themes.”
“I think we both really responded to the challenge of writing short and fast songs on this record,” Gurewitz adds. “The constraints set us free. Like moves in a game of chess, there are really as many variations as there are stars in the galaxy.”

The song is an adaptation of excerpts from video game theme songs Wizards and Warriors, Castlevania, Skyrim, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy VI and Tetris and is off the band's new EP 'For The Bear' that also features two new originals 'Sailor's Accolade' and the title track 'For The Bear' along with three remixes of 'Fierce Riders of Scythia', 'Black Death' and 'Dies Irae Pt. 1' from the band's 2010 debut '...Of War' plus a Scythian adapted song of Quebecois folk song 'Mattawa Reel' by Robert Forest.

Am 1. November spielte der TRIVIUM Frontmann Matt Heafy ein kleines Akustik-Set im „2112" Restaurant in Göteborg, das zwei Mitgliedern von IN FLAMES gehört.
Unter anderem gehörten Songs von TRIVIUM, OPETH und der Klassiker „Hallelujah" in sein Programm; die entsprechenden Clips könnt ihr euch hier bei uns ansehen!

11223: AOSOTH recording 4th album; release date set for March/April 2013
French black metal band AOSOTH is currently working on the follow-up to their 2011 release III. The as of yet untitled album is tentatively slated for a March/April 2013 release and will firmly consist of 7 new tracks and 55 minutes of music. Band's guitarist, BST, has issued the following statement with regards to the announcement:
"We have entered the infamous Bst Studios once again to work on our fourth album and we are confident that this will be our most elaborate, twisted, and sick release so far. Those who did not like the direction we took with the previous record, probably will hate this one even more. We're on the second day of tracking guitars now, and things are going smoothly, so to speak."
Track 5 from AOSOTH's previous album entitled III has been premiered by Chicago Reader earlier this year and can be heard at the following link:

Mark Tremonti zählt zu den bedeutendsten Gitarristen der Gegenwart.
